Repatriation of ethnic forced migrants from the USSR to the satellite countries in 1955

The paper is devoted to repatriation of foreigners, apatrides and Soviet citizens of Polish and Jewish nationality who resided in special settlements to the Soviet satellite countries in 1955. The quantity and the order of repatriation of this category of people is restored on the basis of data from State Archive of the Russian Federation. The conclusion is made that the repatriation was a consequence of closing up of the special settlement system in the USSR.
