In the process of developing and promoting cultural tourism, the question of how to satisfy the desire of vacationers for an authentic experience without prejudice to the local cultural tradition, on the basis of respect and protection of the values of the indigenous ethnic group, becomes especially important. The tourism product needs to recreate authenticity, subordinated to the requirements of ensuring not only the authenticity of the object, but also its compliance with the goals of rest, comfort and relaxation. To this end, traditional culture is being deformed to create a sought-after tourism product. As a result, tourists are presented with a constructivist reality, which they encounter through stage performances, souvenirs and juxtaposition with the life experiences of locals. Constructed cultural reality removes the contradiction between commodification and authenticity of the tourist product, allowing for an authentic traveler experience while maintaining the cultural boundaries and value code of the local population. At the same time, the constructivist reality is different from true cultural reality, but has the same “roots”, which serves to guarantee the existence of a national identity.
