Representations of the good concept in the essay by Grigoriy Kotoshikhin "On Russia in the reign of Alexei Mikhailovich"

The article is devoted to the analysis of such lexical units as benefit, good, wise, blessed, Annunciation, safely as represenations of the GOOD concept in the essay G. K. Kotoshikhin «About Russia in the reign of Alexei Mikhailovich». The context shows that G. Kotoshikhin sought to reflect the understanding and flow of life in an Orthodox state. The detailed examination of the semantics of these words in the text the interpretative field was revealed. The means of nomination and predication of this field reinforce the notion that the units of the derivational slot with the meaning of ‘benefit’ at the top and explicating the unifying semes of ‘prosperity’, ‘happiness’, ‘goodness’, ‘love’, are introduced not only to describe the religious practices, but also convey a characteristic of state activity, and implicitly, the personality of the ruler.
