“Decision” by Brecht: poetics and politics

One single poem by B. Brecht is analyzed, the historical approach is used that is appropriate for the review of works directly responsive to political events. The article aims at contributing to the gradual correction of incomplete and distorted reception of socially significant lyrics of the former GDR in Russia, and the establishment of intercultural dialogue.
