National investment climate index of the Republic of Buryatia

National investment climate index, initiated and operated by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects, has been implemented in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation since 2014. During this period, the rating covers all constituent entities of the Russian Federation. Based on the methodology developed by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives, which includes 64 indicators, each region has a corresponding place in the rating, which reflects the measures of the regional authorities to create favorable conditions for doing business. The article analyzes the dynamics of development of the Republic of Buryatia according to all indicators of the national investment climate index. We have identified the indicators of leads and lags, improvement and deterioration in accordance with the supervising state authorities of the republic. It is noted that in order to improve the rating positions of the Republic of Buryatia, it is advisable to introduce a municipal rating
