Republic of Dagestan in the first decade of the XXI century: peculiarities of state-religion relations development

The article considers development of the dialogue between public authorities and religious organizations in the Republic of Dagestan at the present stage. It is noted that the steady development of the Dagestan society is impossible without meaningful dialogue and cooperation of public authorities and religious organizations. The article describes the ways of their cooperation in the fight against religious extremism and terrorism, their activities focused on the preservation of the purity of religion and peaceful coexistence. The author discusses Islamic religious education, which is under the purview of religious organizations according to the Russian Federation Constitution securing the secular nature of the state.
