Resseta culture: information for consideration

Separate finds of the Resseta type have been known from the early XX c. Yetthe Resseta culture was indentified by the author in 1985. Most representative materialsare known from sites Sukontsevo 8 and 9, Resseta 2 and 3, Borki, Lanino 1, and Minino 2.Most probably, the material in question reflects the evolution of the Eastern Gravettetraditions in the terminal Pleistocene. The problems of Resseta culture are considered,with special attention to its chronology and historical destiny, periodization of sites,characteristic of materials, and other debatable questions.
