The resource potential of tourism and recreation: factors, structure, regional management

The aim of this article is to study the factors and structure of the resource potential in the tourism and recreation sector as part of regional management. A compositional approach is utilized. Based on the analysis of the factors and structure of the resource potential for the development of the tourism and recreation sector in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic, priority directions for the development of the regional economy are identified, and key aspects of managing the tourism and recreation sector in this area are described. It is emphasized that the resource potential is determined by the interaction of natural, material, labor, informational, and financial elements. The combination of these elements, based on the specific characteristics of the territory, forms a hierarchical structure in accordance with the compositional approach, adhering to the principles of integrity, complementarity, efficiency, and goal alignment. The authors argue that the analysis of the resource potential of the tourism and recreation sector in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic and all its elements serves as a foundation for the prospective development of the region within the socio-economic system. Conclusion dwells upon the fact that institutional tools contribute to the progressive development of the tourism and recreation sector in the republic, optimizing the process of managing regional potential.
