The disadvantage of greenhouses is significant heat losses during the cold season and the high cost of their factory supply. Taken together, these factors may make the construction of a cultivation facility economically unfeasible. Technical solutions for seedling and vegetable greenhouses and pre-built vegetable greenhouses for small-scale farming have been proposed. The purpose of the study included the development of resource-saving solutions for cultivation facilities. To achieve the goal, an analytical method was used. The solution for a seedling and vegetable greenhouse involves creating the technologically required temperature only in the seedling growth zone. Thermal losses of the structure are reduced by approximately half. After planting the seedlings, the greenhouse can be used to grow vegetables. The design of the vegetable greenhouse is provided with a welded frame made of rolled profiles. The dependencies were derived and the energy-efficient sizes of farm greenhouses with an area of 500 and 1000 m2 were justified. The consumption of steel for the welded frame of the greenhouse was minimized by optimizing its construction parameters. The obtained research results can be used in the design and construction of greenhouses in small businesses.
