Retrospective and current state buckwheat production

The parameters of buckwheat production in the world over the past twenty-eight years are analyzed. The dynamics of areas, gross harvest, productivity by countries and the world as a whole has been investigated. An international comparison of the yield was carried out. Structural shifts in crops and production of buckwheat by country are characterized. Yield indicators vary significantly by country. There is a clearly pronounced tendency to a decrease in buckwheat production as a result of a reduction in its sown areas with a relatively low yield.
