Purpose: to conduct a retrospective analysis of uveal melanoma size and localization according duplex ultrasound scanning data. Material and Methods. During 2017-2018 in «Optimed» Center for laser vision recovery (Ufa, Russian Federation) 22 patients with uveal melanoma were diagnosed. The ratio of males / females was 1:1 (11 men and 11 women). Age of the patients ranged from 46 to 89 years. Results. According to the results of our research the paramacular localization of uveal melanoma was more frequent (72.2%). Tumor thickness was on average 7.6±4.6 mm, and the base diameter was 10.1±4.1 mm. 20 patients (90.9%) had blood flow at the tumor base. In 54.5% of cases patients had secondary retinal detachment. Conclusion. Ultrasound duplex scanning of orbit is an informative and noninvasive method of uveal melanoma early detection.
