In this article, the literature data on postoperative hernias, tactics of the surgeon's physician in this pathology are reviewed, the analysis was carried out on the basis of the age and sex criteria among patients of the 1st Republican Clinical Hospital in Izhevsk. The question of postoperative hernia remains one of the topical issues to this day. A large number of factors affect the development of postoperative hernia. Postoperative hernia can occur after almost any surgical procedure. most often the disease is formed after such surgical interventions as: appendicitis, intestinal obstruction, perforated gastric ulcer, cholecystitis, peritonitis, hernia of the navel or white line of the abdomen, ovarian cysts, uterine fibroids, etс.
