Retrospective analysis of prednisolone in children with community-acquired pneumonia

We retrospectively analyzed the effectiveness of Prednisolone in children with CAP who were admitted to the hospital of Shandong University (China) and Infectious diseases of Andijon region (Uzbekistan). All children had received antibiotics (cephalosporin) or Macrolides (Azithromycin) and Oxygen. Additionally we have given Prednisolone 1 mg/kg on day 2 of admission to control group. To conclude, Prednisolone therapy is useful for reducing hospital stay and morbidity in children with CAP and no observed side effects.
