Revitalization of the great seaport of St. Petersburg

Cities that are important on an international scale should be improved considering their planned and long-term development. That is why the article proposes a solution for the transformation and further sustainable development of the territory of the seaport of St. Petersburg. An important aspect of the concept being developed is the formation and implementation of several functional cores (transport, business, recreational, cultural, and educational), to ensure profitability and create a new impetus for the development of a separate area of the city. The authors note that each core under consideration and the design of a quality environment are determined by a special character, urban structure, green environment, and functional combination of various services for potential target groups.
