Senatorial revision in Olonetskaya province in the second quarter of XIX century as the source of public administration historical research

The article is devoted to the analysis of public administration in Olonetskaya province during the period of senatorial revision (1827-1828), under senator D. O. Baranov supervision. The author of the article defines the causes and purposes of the revision, its course and results, and draws a conclusion on effectiveness of such kind of governmental control over the provincial government in the Russian Empire.
