The article is the first introduction into scientific use of the published materials from provincial news bulletins released in Irkutsk, Tobolsk and Tomsk during the Russian Revolution and the Russian Civil War as an official mouthpiece of the Provisional Government, and later of anti-Bolshevik governments which were founded in Siberia. It is highlighted that in a new social and political situation the new authority did include what was used to be common for people to find in provincial news bulletins: the government's acts and directives, official and private ads. The informal part of the bulletins, however, became politically biased: the printed matter performed propagandistic functions in accordance with the political regime and ideology of the Provisional Government and anti-Bolshevik authorities that controlled Irkutsk, Tobolsk and Tomsk provinces in 1917-1920.
