The author examines the influence of the Black Sea Straits regime on Turkish Turkism policy based on international treaties, speeches by politicians and diplomatic correspondence. Turkism is the state ideology of Turkey. It aims to unite the Turkic nations under the auspices of Turkey. The Black Sea Straits are an important strategic point for the Turkish state. Through the Bosporus and the Dardanelles, the Turkish Republic can monitor and influence the Turkic peoples. The article examines the process of changing the regime of the Black Sea Straits. It is mentioned about the struggle of the Turkish Republic for influence over the Black Sea Straits in the first half of the 20th century. This can be seen during the conferences in Lausanne in 1923 and in Montreux in 1936 on the status of the Bosphorus and Dardanelles Straits. An important period is the Second World War, during which the straits regime is being implemented in practice.
