The performance of regional economic policy in the field of tourism in Kemerovo region

The study examines the issues of highlighting the key performance indicators of regional economic policy in the field of tourism. The authors distinguish three groups of such key performance indicators in Kemerovo region. The economic development indicators of the tourism and hospitality industry refer to the first group. The second one includes the performance indicators of the educational institutions training personnel for the tourism industry. The third group implies the media activity of the regional authorities aimed at creating a tourist image and brand of the region, informing tourists about the tourist products provided by enterprises and organizations of the region. The paper analyzes each group of indicators that allows one to estimate the efficiency of the regional economic policy implemented in the tourism industry in Kemerovo region. Based on the analysis of the key performance indicators, the authors make recommendations for further development of regional tourism policy in Kemerovo region.
