The results of trials of winter rapeseed cultivars and hybrids in a central zone of the Krasnodar region

Бесплатный доступ

A comparative study of winter rapeseed cultivars and hybrids in a central zone of the Krasnodar region showed that hybrids are characterized by a higher rate of growth and development of plants in the autumn vegetation. The biological features allow hybrids to form potentially more productive and resistant plants to adverse winter conditions at the late time of seedling appearance. The average seed yield of hybrids has exceeded yields of cultivars on 15 %, with an average level of yields in both groups and for three years of testing more than 4.0 t/ha. Foreign hybrids are characterized by a higher content of glucosinolates and a less oil content compared to the cultivars of domestic breeding.
