The article deals with the urgency of a problem of an insufficient level of scrutiny of variability of physical development of children of preschool age living in the North of Irkutsk region, influence of the given indicators on components of health and its account in physical training system. The results of research presented in the article can form a basis for monitoring of health and quality of sports education.
