The article provides an analysis of the results of treatment of patients with infectious endocarditis in the last 10 years. It shows the upward trend in the number of patients with infective endocarditis, including the increasing number of intravenous drug users. The dominant role of a staph infection in the development of the disease is determined, recommendations for empiric antibiotic therapy are made, the role of timely surgical rehabilitation focus of infection in mortality in this disease is demonstrated.
