In recent years, the research of rock art sites has received a new impetus to development thanks to the use of noncontact methods of documenting (three-dimensional visualization), detailed tracing with microscope, and technological studies in rock art. That is why well known and published representations of rock art from the Minusinsk Basin need to be revised. Field works were carried out at several locations of four sites (Sukhanikha, Potroshilovskaya, Kavkazskaya, and Shalabolinskaya) in 2017. This made it possible to achieve various methodological and research objectives, and to test some approaches to documenting representations and surfaces with petroglyphs. The technological aspects of some series of archaic rock carvings have also been studied.
