The results of industrial trials of self-propelled plot planter for sowing of oil flax

In the mechanization department of the All-Russian Research Institute of Oil Crops by Pustovoit V.S. we developed and made a self-propelled plot planter on a base of the T-16 tractor for sowing of oil flax seeds on experimental plots. The construction of the planter is described. We tested the planter in twenty meter plots with eight rows. We established the planter ensures a uniform seed distribution along the sowing depth and the length of the rows. The planter can be also used for sowing of the other oil crops (rapeseed, turnip rape, mustard, etc.).
