As you know, the process of grinding is laborious and carries a large amount of labor and energy. The authors carried out a comparative analysis of machines for grinding grain materials. The result of the analysis is the identification of shortcomings and advantages of the main means of mechanization for grinding. The main shortcomings include the following drawbacks: large energy costs for grinding grain, a large fraction of the pulverized fraction, uneven grinding, high metal capacity of the structure, low maintainability, complexity of the design. Taking into account the results of the analysis, the authors proposed the working organs of the shredder, which exclude the main shortcomings of the shredders considered in the article. The working organs created according to the norms of the patent make it possible to achieve that the final grinding product corresponds to zootechnical requirements. The proposed working bodies provide medium-sized loans, as well as their use in various industries. In the course of the study, cereals were crushed. As the material to be ground, a mixture of different cereal materials was selected. The composition of the mixture contained difficult-to-grind feed elements: Such as a frail grain, an admixture of an octagon, hollow particles. The crushed product has a developed granulometric composition, the surface of the feed particles after grinding has the most favorable surface for feed with the digestive tract of the animal, the content of the pulverized fraction does not exceed 5%, the grinding product has an attractive appearance. The grinding process does not require large energy inputs in comparison with the common machines for grinding grain materials. Some results of experimental studies are presented, which confirm the expected results.
