Short- and long-term results of multi-organ surgeries for 63 patients with gastric and cardio-esophageal junction cancers were analyzed. R0-resections were performed in 96,8 % of cases, surgery on one organ adjacent to the stomach were performed in 27 (42,9 %), on 2 organs in 21 (33,3 %), on 3 organs in 12 (19 %), and on 5 organs in 1 (1,6 %) patient. Postoperative complications were observed in 13 (20,6 %) patients and immediate lethality in 9,5 % of cases. The overall 1-year survival rate was 66,7 % and 2-year survival rate was 51,5 %. The combined surgeries demonstrate favorable long-term results for locally advanced gastric cancer and they are recommended for patients with tumor invasion into adjacent organs and having no somatic contraindications and distant metastases.
