The best sunflower varieties of native breeding, simple hybrids, synthetic populations were used in creation of sunflower initial material. Segregating self-pollinated lines attribute to early ripeness group; plant height is 132-152 cm, oil content of seeds - 49.8-54.4%, weight of 1000 seeds - 51.0-106.6g. It is paid attention especially to the resistance to Orobanche, Downy Mildew, Phomopsis in hybrid breeding. Simple hybrids Quant, Temp, and high oleic hybrid Arol were created on the experimental station jointly with VNIIMK in last years. New perspective hybrid Bars exceeded the control on yield in 0.47 t/ha was included in State variety trials.
