Rhupus syndrome: case report and literature review

A clinical case of rhupus syndrome in a 24-year-old patient is considered. The clinical picture, data of laboratory and instrumental methods of examination are described. Rhupus syndrome is a form of overlap syndrome. Overlap syndrome is characterized by the presence of diagnostic criteria for several rheumatic diseases at once, the occurrence of such combinations is extremely low, among them RA and SLE, RA and AS, PSA and SLE can be distinguished. The combination of RA and SLE is called rhupus syndrome, the clinical manifestations of the syndrome are diverse due to the clinical polymorphism of SLE, but it always has a characteristic feature, namely severe erosive arthritis.
