Risks of operating value chains in the automotive industry

This research paper investigates the risks associated with the operation of value chains in the automotive industry. The paper begins with a literature review revealing the history of value chain development in the automotive industry and key concepts in risk management. Subsequently, internal and external risk factors including supply instability, changes in technology and the external environment are explored. Risk management techniques are examined in terms of practices and strategies employed by automotive manufacturers. Based on the analysis, recommendations for risk mitigation and stability in value chain operations are proposed. This work contributes to the understanding of risk and its management in automotive manufacturing and points out directions for further research.
