The risks of growing-up and the problem of self-understanding of teenagers

The article discusses the development of self-understanding as a means of overcoming the risks of growingup of teenagers. It describes the features of the risks: the lack of open communication in the family, unpleasant conditions in the school, the lack of real, «tangible» communication with peers, the decrease in the need to understand oneself in the conditions of «screen» culture. The article proposes to use the development of self-understanding in order to overcome these risks: creating positive images of parents, reflecting the personal experience of school life and learning the methods of self-knowledge, awareness of the importance of real communication, introduction to literature.
