Health risks for miners engaged in underground drilling and blasting operations in the Kola peninsula mines

Persons employed in drilling and blasting operations have the highest levels of occupational morbidity among underground miners of all specialties on the Kola Peninsula. The study aimed to identify occupational pathology characteristics of miners involved in underground drilling and blasting operations in the Kola Peninsula mines for improved prevention. We studied data from the register of extracts from occupational disease records (Order of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation dated May 28, 2001, No. 176) for 2007-2021 in the Murmansk region.
