Rhythm of the work of art: communicative and pragmatic aspect

Бесплатный доступ

In the article the rhythm of the work of art is considered as a means of the author's influence upon the non-verbal intellect of the reader within the communicative and pragmatic approach. The rhythmic organization of the work of art is one of the most significant phenomena of the semantic sphere of language. Rhythms have independent semantic characteristics and are qualified as 'signs of feelings', which directly, in a wealth of colours and in fuller sense express the inner state of a person, his/her emotions and evaluations, which sometimes are impossible to convey by verbal means. The means of rhythm creation may vary; they have free, non-regular nature and they can never be converted into a uniform, standard metrical scheme.
