The article attempts to consider the rhythm as a primary element of artistic consciousness and worldview of B. Pasternak that had a considerable influence on the making of a biographic myth. From this point of view the rhythm is understood as a principle of organization of the text space. By the example of the author’s early prose and fragments of “Okhrannaya gramota” (“Safe Conduct”) it is proved that the rhythm acts as a structure-forming principle of the text as a whole as well as a source for organizing sound images.
