The media in international peacekeeping

Today, the media actively promote the most pressing problems, fueling conflicts, as well as shaping one or another public opinion, depending on the pursued purpose of the published information. The information space of modern media is structured in such a way that citizens are presented, as a rule, with two opposing points of view. As a result, two completely different ideologies are formed, transmitted to the world and, as a result, entailing a certain amount of mistrust due to the difference in the information presented. The article examines exactly how the activities of the media influence the formation of a positive climate, and also reduce the general tension in society through the use of so-called «peace journalism».
