Rhetoric: Russian experience in education

The author argues for the formation of a system of rhetoric education. The traditional basis for that have always been classical books on rhetoric and a history of teaching rhetoric in Russia. Mastering rhetoric traditions and study of famed orators of the past could help improve students' rhetoric culture. The article lists and analyses the most popular rhetoric texts of 17-19cc. The main task of rhetoric is seen as a means of comprehensive study of the beauty and power of human word and correlation of words with human emotions, volition, and intellect.
