A number of issues to be discussed. Response to the article by Y. V. Ospennikov “Relevant problems of studying church law (intermediate results of the work of the Barsov society)”

In the first issue for 2023 of the scientific journal of the St. Petersburg Theological Academy “Khristianskoye Chteniye” (“Christian Reading”) was published a review article by Y. V. Ospennikov, Doctor of Law, Full Member of the Society for the Study of Church Law named after T. V. Barsov. The publication is devoted to analyzing the activities of the Barsov Society in the field of intellectual development of a number of problems in the field of canonical and ecclesiastical law, identifying the “scientific style” of the creative association and the intermediate results of the research search of its members and outside specialists within the chosen field. Y. V. Ospennikov touched upon topical ecclesiastical legal aspects both in a theoretical context and in their connection with the practice and everyday life of the Church. Some remarks and conclusions of the respected scholar seemed very interesting to the author of the proposed review and were regarded as an invitation to an extramural discussion. Their vision, understanding and interpretation are presented in this article.
