“Robert Greene” and the problem of authorship’s origin

The article deals with the problem of authorship’s origin in the gold age of British culture. The author regards creative activity of Robert Greene in connection with his attempt to construct a author-person in his works. The special attention in the article is paid to the passage of the book “Greenes groats-worth of wit” (1592), where for the first time the name “Shakespeare” is supposed to be mentioned.
