The novel surgical clamp to perform robot-assisted and laparoscopic partial nephrectomy under regional ischemia

This article describes the successful experience with the novel clamp for laparoscopic and robot-assisted partial nephrectomy that enables the procedure be provided under regional ischemia. We describe the advantages of selective parenchyma clamping over traditional kidney pedicle clamping in terms of preventing acute renal failure in early postoperative period.
