Бесплатный доступ

The article presents the features of the use of adaptive physical culture (AFC) for the adaptation and social integration of people with disabilities and the disabled into modern society. It is noted that only the combined use of the pedagogical and social directions of the AFC allows achieving the necessary results. It should be borne in mind that the rehabilitation program should be developed based on individual physical characteristics and taking into account the psychological state of the patient, to contribute to the maximum correction of violations. In case of impossibility of full recovery (loss of vital organs and functions), the complex of rehabilitation measures is aimed at accepting patients of their condition, teaching life in changed conditions and building relationships with the surrounding society. Thus, AFC should become an integral part of the lifestyle of patients: regular classes and regimen, the opportunity to communicate with people with similar problems and different social levels, contributes to the formation of a worldview and life priorities.
