The role of agricultural education in the formation of personnel potential of the agricultural organizations

Strengthening the human capacity of agricultural organizations is one of the main conditions for solving the problems of food security. At the same time, agrarian education is the main supplier of highly qualified personnel in the agrarian sector of the economy. The primary problem in the development of the agrarian economy is that the system of personnel support for the industry has been destroyed: there is a catastrophic shortage of agricultural specialists with a higher education, weak fixability of personnel and an insufficiently effective system of their training. The author highlighted a number of structural problems existing in agricultural education, including: insufficient financing of the activities of agricultural universities; low rate of modernization of the content of educational programs, their poor practical orientation; insufficient links between educational institutions and employers; lack of a motivational environment for attracting highly qualified young scientists and teachers to the system; a large variation in the volume of training for the agricultural sector of the economy depending on the level of education and regions of Russia; lack of business motivation to participate in self-financing for retraining of personnel. In this regard, a practice-oriented approach to training acquires sufficient relevance, provided that the best domestic and global technologies are introduced into agriculture. The article justifies the fact that when training specialists for the agricultural sector of the economy the target set is the most acceptable option. In this regard, occupational guidance for young people and schoolchildren becomes particular relevant, the main purpose of which is to arise interest in agricultural work, to form schoolchildren’s own perspective on the choice of profession related to agriculture and its informed choice.
