The role of agrarian policy in food security of Russia

The article considers agriculture as the basic sector of the economy. Agricultural complex and farming are the industries that are most likely to be damaged by Russia’s accession to the WTO. In this regard, the agricultural policy should focus on the stable food supply of the country, development of agricultural production and preservation of the resource potential of the agricultural sector.
