The article is devoted to strategic issues of revival and development of the Eurasian economic integration with the justification of the key role of Russia, including the Baikal subregion. The author attempts to synthesis of economic, humanitarian and ecological approaches to the integration problems of the vast Eurasian plate. Complexity, according to the authors, will ensure the success of the mega-project. Specifics threads deployed by the example of Baikal subregion, and in its composition - the Republic of Buryatia and the Buryat State University, their role in the value of the integration processes on the eastern flank of the Eurasian space.
