The article examines the key types of digital platforms that can take regional business to a new level: from marketplaces to crowdfunding platforms and online courses. The purpose of the article is to show the role of digital platforms in the development of small and medium-sized businesses and government support measures to ensure the development of digital platforms. Research objectives: to identify the problems faced by entrepreneurs using the example of Saint-Petersburg when using digital platforms, to show the role of the state in the development of digital platforms, draw conclusions on the development of digital platforms.
