The role of confidence in the management of the quality of life of the population

The article deals with the approaches of different Sciences to the conceptualization of the phenomenon of «trust». The economic, psychological, philosophical and sociological concepts of trust are revealed. The basic properties and features of trust from the point of view of sociological approach are allocated. The article is based on the concept of British sociologist A. Giddens, who identified two types of trust: personal trust and trust in abstract systems and institutions. The article describes the gender differences in the level of trust in political, social-legal and information institutions according to the factor analysis based on the concept of A. Giddens. The work also reveals the relationship of trust and quality of life.
