The role of trees in the evaluation of slope stability

The article describes methods for quantitative assessment of the influence of tree vegetation on the stability of slopes, which can be used for design and survey work. The scientific substantiation of the ecological and erosion stability of slopes and the results of approbation of the method for calculating the specific cohesion of soil by the roots of wood vegetation in the root layer of a thickness of 2.0 ± 0.5 m are presented.
