The role of the federal and regional instruments of protection of citizens in the human rights machinery of the Russian Federation

The article considers the issues concerning the legal system for the protection of the rights and freedoms of man and citizen in the exercise of Federal and regional authorities of their powers. The Russian Federation has a special territorial structure, allowing the Federal bodies of state power to control the actions of the authorities of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, but of the municipality and the authorities of constituent entities of the Russian Federation have a lower degree of subordination. The basic Law prohibits the limitation by the legislation of Executive authorities of constituent entities of the Russian Federation rights and freedoms of the individual in the absence of necessary reasons.
