Role of photoperiod in multiplication and reduction of soybean flow-er petals

Cultivation of cultivated and wild soybeans on southern latitude border of the latitude range of optimum conditions of day length causes formation of additional flower petals. The further reduction of day length formed by plantings to the south of latitude border of the latitude optimum, late sowing date or adjustable conditions of climate chambers leads to a partial or full reduction of separate petals.
