The role of the state in supporting sustainable development finance

The article analyzes the role of the state and the subjects of the Russian Federation in supporting sustainable development projects. ESG projects are aimed at a long-term perspective and the positive effect of their implementation is obvious for both society and business. Despite the difficult economic situation, most of the initiatives within the framework of environmental and social development will be implemented. The task of the state is to develop regulatory, economic, and administrative measures to support «green» projects that take into account the importance of such a transformation. The authors noted that joint projects between business and the state are currently being implemented in the Russian Federation, funded with the help of sustainable development tools.
