The role of state-owned oil companies in the development of economic processes

The article discusses the role of national oil companies’ work focused on the enhancing of the international cooperation between countries, the financing of capital-intensive projects with foreign capital raising, the increase of oil refining on the country level, the resolution of the global problem of providing the country with necessary energy resources. Besides the positive aspects of the oil companies with state participation, the author considers some possible problems of their functioning on a national scale.
