The article raises a question of the use of electronic payment systems in the field of drug trafficking and money laundering derived from drug sales in the territory of the Russian Federation. The analysis of the regulatory framework in the field of electronic payment systems is given. Certain risks of illicit drug trafficking processes by using electronic money are identified.
