Role and a place of small enterprises in modem economic conditions of the Russian Federation

The article reveals the role and place of small enterprises in modern economic conditions. The analysis of dynamics of indicators of development of small business is carried out; and the influence of financial crisis on activity of the subjects of small business is estimated. The authors carry out the analysis of the structure of small enterprises by types of economic activity and its change for the last five years, and also the analysis of operating approaches to the classification therefore it is offered to improve existing classification by addition of modern principles of information logistics and to meet the requirements of modern information technologies. The authors’ approach to the necessity of introduction of new characteristics of classification of small enterprises is presented in the article.
